Structure and service routing
The welded conical/octagonal design has a 500 × 500 mm bottom plate and a 240 mm diameter, 1-inch-thick top plate with three M14 threaded bolts. A 3-inch internal cable conduit routes services through the support. A central opening permits quartz-sand filling on site.
Project-specific height
Baader offers 60, 80, 100, 115, 125, 135, 145, 155 and 165 cm heights. The maker coordinates the total pillar and flange height with each project and recommends staying within 175 cm overall.
Foundation and mount interface
The pillar is anchored to a concrete foundation prepared to Baader’s specification. A matching levelling flange is required: GM3000: 2451186; GM4000: 2451185. The manufacturer offers these pillars as part of an agreed mount or observatory project, so the foundation, selected height and mounting interface must be planned together.
