Drive, alignment and safety
The mount has a 0–90° latitude range, RA power-off braking and RA/DEC home functions. The manual specifies a 7.5°/s maximum slew speed. Strain-wave drives reduce the need for counterweights, but the tripod must remain stable and the manufacturer’s torque limits still apply.
Connections and control
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support app control; SynScan Pro or an optional SynScan handset can be used. The 100i includes a secondary D/V hybrid saddle for dual-telescope alt-azimuth use.
Power and package
This is the head-only configuration; tripod, pier extension and counterweight kit are separate. The 100i manual specifies 12–16 V DC and a supply above 55 W. The AC power supply is not included.
