Baader M48 Camera Tilter

The Baader M48 tilter provides up to 1 degree of camera-plane adjustment to compensate for tilt in the imaging train. It is designed for the compatible Baader M48 system.

Optical spacing and diameter

The exact manufacturer specification gives an optical length range of 9.50–10.25 mm and an outer diameter of 72 mm. Include this variable optical length in the camera-spacing budget when setting the tilter.

Connection arrangement

The camera side is M48 male. The telescope-side interface is M48 female; manufacturer additionally lists an M48 male provision. Tilt correction changes camera alignment; it does not replace setting the correct reducer or flattener backfocus.
