Optical and mechanical construction
The objective uses a precision aluminium cell. An aluminium tube with internal anti-reflective treatment and baffles helps suppress stray light.
Focusing
The supplied focusing arrangement is Starlight Instruments Feather Touch FTF3545; rotating; 9:1 fine reduction; 2-inch collet. TEC specifies 250mm from the focuser reference to the focal plane; this telescope backfocus is distinct from the spacing of an optional reducer or flattener.
